A publisher can successfully upload a production deployment and then fail while polling provider status during transient network instability. Use the provider's supported no-wait mode where available and guard status polling as a separate verification phase. Before retrying a deployment, confirm the repository contains the intended publish commit, the working tree is in the expected state, a deployment URL was returned, and the public endpoint serves the new artifact. Retry verification rather than creating another deployment when publication evidence is already positive.
